FrontRowLutheran.com Ice Report
(A backdated post)On this day in history, northeast Nebraska experienced an ice storm that wasn't TOO bad, but still, didn't make going out and about easy.
Monday and Tuesday, the sun came out and melted most of the ice away.

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received a ton of rain over the last several days, because the rain gauge was over flowing. Around six inches, supposedly. The Lord has certainly shown abundance, even if it's kind of the wrong time of year for it. Hopefully it doesn't effect the harvest TOO terribly bad.

According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received 1.45 inches of rain on Sunday/Monday early morning. There was enough lightning in the sky on Sunday night to make me go and unplug the cables to the LG TVs in the house, so you know it was pretty bad. :-)

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received .6 inches of rain on Sunday afternoon. It was quite windy and stormy for a while, but at least we didn't get any hail like other parts of northeast Nebraska. Supposedly there was some tennis-ball-sized hail up by Magnet, Nebraska. Eek! Scary!

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received .1 inches of rain sometime prior to Friday morning (likely Thursday afternoon).I didn't have the chance to check the gauge when I probably should have. I'm wondering if there was more and it happened to evaporate or something.
That or I bet Stumbling came by and dumped out water this time around, rather than adding more.

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received 2.15 inches of rain all day Wednesday. It was a long, rainy day.
And then, this morning, as I went out to check and see how much rain we had after I dumped out the rain gauge last night, I was amazed to see that the rain gauge had 2.73 inches of rain in it.
Can that be right? Seriously? Because at the radio station, they supposedly received only 1.5 inches of rain overnight. Can there be over an inch difference just a couple of miles away? Or didn't I get all of the rain out of my gauge last night? Or is someone monkeying around with Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™?
Hmm...who knows? All I know is, we've received a lot of rain, and whenever it dries up around here, I'm going to have a jungle of a lawn to mow.

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received .1 inches of rain Tuesday evening. However, I'm wondering if this measurement is wrong. I was in Madison last night while the storm went through, and in Madison, it rained sheets and sheets of water for about 20 minutes. I'm not sure if Norfolk got the same kind of rain or not, but if Norfolk did, then there should have been more water in the rain gauge. Jillian said it was quite windy, but she didn't watch the rain falling, so....it's hard to say.
I also waited to check the gauge until this morning. Maybe there is a leak in the gauge? Or possibly it all evaporated out? Eh...I don't know.
Hmmm...I see that WJAG is reporting that while the airport received a half inch of rain, WJAG's studios only received .2 inches. So maybe the .1 in my gauge is right after all.
Hopefully we don't get too much more rain now. According to Marlin Kaser, any more rain right now wouldn't be much help. So, let's just hope God will take care of the situation.

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received 1.07 inches of rain Monday evening. It was a pretty severe thunderstorm that came through Norfolk. All of that rain fell in about 30-45 minutes. Also, there were many random marble-sized hailstones that fell from the sky, and very strong wind gusts accompanied the storm, too.
According to my sources in Madison, there wasn't a drop of rain that fell either in town or out west of Madison.
Go figure. I guess that's what happens when you forget to pray for rain and sun in worship on Sunday. Whoops!

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received 1 inch of rain Sunday afternoon. While it's nice to have received a good dose of rain, it's disappointing it had to come Sunday afternoon, because it discouraged Jillian and I from going to Arlington to watch my nephew Michael march in the Washington County Parade. Bummer.
Oh well.

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received .81 inches of rain Thursday evening.Jillian and I were surprised that there wasn't more in the gauge, because it was really coming down for quite a while late last evening. Perhaps some of the drops that should have landed in the gauge were blown right on past.
There also was quite a strong wind, because several of our potted plants outside were blown over.
I'm glad I managed to get the lawn mowed last night, otherwise our yard would have been an even larger jungle.

FrontRowLutheran.com Rain Report
According to the Official Yellow Rain Gauge in the Backyard™, the Wiese's received .2 inches of rain on Tuesdsay through 4 p.m.I was hoping there would be more since it had rained a long time today, but I guess the rain drops were too small to make it a larger amount.
